We have recently discovered that the email account of an employee of UACJ Automotive Whitehall Industries, Inc., UACJ’s US subsidiary in Michigan, was compromised, and that unauthorized access from outside the company resulted in the sending of unsolicited emails (spam emails) from the employee's email account.

Action has been taken immediately on the compromised account to prevent further unauthorized emails, and in cooperation with external experts, we are conducting a thorough investigation into the cause and details of the incident. At this time, no secondary damage related to this incident has been confirmed.

We sincerely apologize for the great concern and inconvenience that this incident caused to our business partners and others who have been received spam emails.

We take this incident very seriously and are committed to preventing the any further damage, and will further strengthen information security measures and prevent recurrence.
