UACJ to Exhibit at ALUMINIUM CHINA 2014

UACJ will exhibit at ALUMINIUM CHINA 2014, which is to be held July 9–11 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center in Shanghai, China.

ALUMINIUM CHINA is Asia's largest aluminum trade fair, and this year will mark the 10th time it has been held. In 2007, we became the first Japanese rolled aluminum manufacturer to exhibit at ALUMINIUM CHINA. In 2013, 462 companies exhibited, including six from Japan, and the event hosted 15,274 visitors. This year, some 500 companies from approximately 30 countries around the world, including eight from Japan, are expected to take part, attracting more than 16,000 visitors.

UACJ's booth will introduce its highly functional and high-quality aluminum products, centering on three fields; automotive aluminum materials, thick aluminum sheet used in liquid-crystal and semiconductor manufacturing equipment and LNG tankers, and aluminum materials for IT cabinets. We will also introduce our global bases, including Group manufacturing and sales companies in China and South Korea and our aluminum sheet rolling mill in Thailand that commenced Phase 1 operations in January 2015. We will also conduct presentations about FusPlate high-quality thick plate and show a promotion video introducing the thick aluminum plate production and processing flows at our Nagoya and Fukui Works. Using various content of this nature, we aim to increase our recognition in overseas markets.

During the conference segment of the exhibition, Mr. Katsushi Horie, President of UACJ (Shanghai) Aluminum Sales Corporation will provide a lecture. Themed “An Overview of the UACJ Group and Its Vision for the Future,” the talk is expected to describe some of the company’s initiatives in the Chinese market and introduce some of its highly sophisticated aluminum materials.
