UACJ Publishes UACJ Report 2019 (Integrated Report)

UACJ Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; representative director and president: Miyuki Ishihara) has published the UACJ Report 2019, an integrated report. This publication describes the UACJ Group’s strategies for the future, provides an overview of its global business developments, as well as reporting on the Group’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) activities, operating performance and financial information.

We have published the UACJ Report each year since 2015 in response to the growing need to for stakeholders in Japan and overseas to better understand our corporate information. As background, the report also explains market trends for the flat-rolled aluminum industry as a whole. In this manner, we have edited the report to cultivate understanding among readers who are learning about the Company for the first time.

The Message from the President section of this publication leads with the statement that “We will lay a foundation for sustainable growth by improving the Company’s profitability and financial structure while continuing to implement our growth strategies.” In line with the new mid-term management plan launched in April 2018, the report explains how the Company will more actively take on a “co-developer” role both internally and externally and initiatives at R&D centers to this end. The special feature section highlights localization efforts at UACJ (Thailand) Co., Ltd., one of Asia’s largest flat-rolled aluminum manufacturers. Through an interview with local employees, the report describes how full-fledged operations are gaining traction.
