(HQ: Rayong Province, Thailand; President: Hironori Tsuchiya; “UATH”), a consolidated subsidiary of UACJ Corporation (HQ: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Miyuki Ishihara) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Thailand’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and an industry association to promote the recycling of aluminum cans.
The MOU’s aims are to create a framework for cooperation and collaboration among government institutions, environmental organizations, and private companies with a view to realizing a recycling-oriented society and promoting the recycling of environmentally friendly beverage packages. Through this collaboration, UATH intends to help establish and roll out a system for the recycling of aluminum cans, promote environmental preservation in business, and enhance the personnel and technologies involved in the recycling of aluminum cans. Going forward, UATH plans to engage in activities to boost the percentage of aluminum cans that are collected and augment the recycled material content.
