UWH Wins Quality/Delivery Award and Value In Excellence Award at Honda North America Supplier Awards

UACJ Corporation (head office: Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo; President: Shinji Tanaka) announced today that its consolidated subsidiary based in the U.S. state of Michigan, UACJ Automotive Whitehall Industries, Inc. (head office: Michigan, United States; President & CEO: David Cooper; “UWH”), received two awards—the Quality/Delivery Award and the Value In Excellence Award at the Fiscal 2023 Honda North America Supplier Awards.
UWH supplies aluminum front bumpers for Honda’s CR-V, which launched in 2022, helping to reduce environmental impact. The two awards were given in recognition of the company’s zero quality defects, zero product delivery delays, and cost reduction efforts.
These awards are presented annually by Honda Development & Manufacturing of America, LLC (head office: Ohio, United States; President: Kensuke Oe; “HDMA”). HDMA presents awards to top suppliers, chosen from among all suppliers, who have achieved excellent results. In fiscal 2023, HDMA selected top suppliers in five categories to receive awards. UWH was one of few suppliers to receive awards in two categories: for Quality/Delivery and Value In Excellence.
