Development
UACJ Corporation (head office: Minato Ward, Tokyo; President: Shinji Tanaka) announced today that its consolidated subsidiary based in the U.S. state of Michigan, UACJ Automotive Whitehall Industries, Inc. (head office: Michigan, United States; President: Mike Wegener; CEO: David Cooper; “UWH”), received two awards for the third consecutive year—the Quality/Delivery Award and the Value In Excellence Award—at the 2025 Honda North America Supplier Awards. UWH was the only company to receive awards in both categories.
UWH has supplied aluminum front bumpers for Honda’s CR-V, launched in 2022, helping to reduce environmental impact. In recognition of its zero quality defects, zero product delivery delays, and initiatives to reduce costs, UWH received both awards for the third consecutive year.
These awards are presented annually by Honda Development & Manufacturing of America, LLC (head office: Ohio, United States; President: Kensuke Oe; “HDMA”) to top suppliers achieving outstanding performance across its various divisions. For fiscal 2025, only suppliers ranking among the top 5% of all HDMA suppliers were selected for recognition.
The UACJ Group will continue to take on the challenge of providing value through “materials + α,” harnessing the power of aluminum through its proven technological capabilities to help realize a sustainable society.
