Notice on Change of President and Chief Executive Officer

At the Board of Directors' meeting held on February 27, 2006, the change of the company's President and Chief Executive Officer has been decided as follows.

1. Reasons for change

Furukawa-Sky was established through the merger of the light metals group of Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. and SKY Aluminum Co., Ltd. in October 2003. A sales company was later integrated to establish a system that unites production and sales, and in December 2005, we were able to have our stock listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. This March, we are planning to integrate personnel, which had been a longstanding concern, and also now we have a clearer prospect for establishing the Mid-term Management Plan starting in April 2006. These situations have allowed us to decide that the integrated company now has a sound foundation, and as we think that a new management structure is more appropriate for the promotion and implementation of the Mid-term Management Plan starting in April, we have decided to make changes in the top management.
