Furukawa-Sky to Exhibit at ALUMINIUM 2012
October 3, 2012
Furukawa-Sky will exhibit at ALUMINIUM 2012, the world’s largest aluminum-industry tradeshow, which will be held in Dusseldorf, Germany, from October 9 to 11. This will be the second time the Company has taken part in the exhibition.
Held once every two years, ALUMINIUM 2012 will be the ninth time for this tradeshow. The show will consist of around 950 companies from some 50 countries. Including Furukawa-Sky, two companies from Japan will participate. The exhibition is expected to attract 25,000-plus people from more than 100 countries.
Furukawa-Sky is expanding its business in Europe through initiatives such as providing technology to Hellenic Aluminum Industry S.A. (Greece), making a capital investment in Bridgnorth Aluminium Ltd. (United Kingdom) and establishing a European office in Dusseldorf. Furukawa-Sky’s tradeshow booth is the largest available, with 90 square meters of floor space and six meters high. Its design is intended to evoke an image of the Company’s dynamic, ongoing global development—including overseas business in Asia as well as Europe. The booth will contain automotive compressor wheels—for which the Company boasts the leading share of the global market—as well as body sheet materials, materials for heat exchanger components and mock-ups of lithium-ion batteries using aluminum materials. The booth will also introduce the Company’s production and sales bases, including the Dusseldorf-based European office. We will also focus on business discussions with global customers aimed at future new business developments as part of ongoing efforts to maximize overseas sales and enhance our presence in overseas markets.
