Furukawa-Sky to Exhibit at 17th Mechanical Components & Materials Technology Expo

June 17, 2013

Furukawa-Sky will exhibit at the 17th Mechanical Components & Materials Technology Expo, to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from June 19 to 21. This will be the first time the Company has taken part in the exhibition.

The Mechanical Components & Materials Technology Expo is Japan's largest specialized exhibition of mechanical components such as bearings, screws and springs, and various kinds of metal/resin processing technology. The exhibition primarily targets people from the design, development, research, production technology and manufacturing departments of manufacturing companies. Some 1,824 companies exhibited at the 16th Mechanical Components & Materials Technology Expo, held in 2012, attracting 75,015 visitors, including those to seminars held simultaneously. In 2013, some 2,000 companies are expected to exhibit, attracting around 77,000 visitors.

At our booth, we plan to exhibit our FusPlate high-quality thick plate, large rings made from 2,000mm wide thick plate as well as other thick plate products, and introduce FUSCOAT highly functional pre-coated aluminum sheets. We will also use all-aluminum plate thickness measuring equipment made from FusPlate to demonstrate changes in plate thickness, both numerically and through profile, making apparent at a glance the difference between general thick plate and Furukawa-Sky's high-quality thick plate. We will also introduce UACJ, which is to be launched on October 1, 2013, as the result of a merger, conduct presentations about FusPlate high-quality thick plate and show a promotion video introducing our thick plate production and processing flows. We have also prepared a variety of digital signage so that visitors can enjoy experiencing aluminum.
