Furukawa-Sky to Exhibit at ALUMINIUM CHINA 2013
June 25, 2013
Furukawa-Sky will exhibit at ALUMINIUM CHINA 2013, which is to be held July 2–4 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. This will be seventh time the Company has participated in the exhibition.
ALUMINIUM CHINA is Asia's largest aluminum trade fair, and this year will mark the ninth time it has been held. In 2007, Furukawa-Sky became the first Japanese rolled aluminum manufacturer to exhibit at ALUMINIUM CHINA. In 2012, 420 companies exhibited, including four from Japan, and the event hosted 12,047 visitors. This year, some 450 companies from around 30 countries around the world are expected to take part, attracting more than 15,000 visitors.
Furukawa-Sky's booth will introduce its FusPlate high-quality thick plate, materials used in LCD and semiconductor manufacturing equipment, automotive body sheet materials, materials for heat exchanger components and FUSCOAT highly functional pre-coated aluminum sheets. We will also use all-aluminum plate thickness measuring equipment made from FusPlate to demonstrate changes in plate thickness, both numerically and through profile, making apparent at a glance the difference between general thick plate and Furukawa-Sky's high-quality thick plate. We will also conduct presentations about FusPlate high-quality thick plate and show a promotion video introducing our thick plate production and processing flows. We have also prepared a variety of digital signage so that visitors can enjoy experiencing aluminum.
We will introduce UACJ, which is to be launched on October 1, 2013, as the result of a merger. In addition, we will introduce our global manufacturing and sales bases, including subsidiaries in China such as Furukawa-Sky Aluminum (Wuxi) Corp., established in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province in 2011, and our aluminum sheet rolling plant in Thailand, for which first-phase operations are scheduled to commence in January 2014. Through these efforts, we are working to increase our presence in overseas markets.
