Main Facilities
Hot roughing mill
This is one of the world's largest hot-rolling mills, measuring 400 meters in length and 4.3 meters wide. An AGC system is used to automatically control sheet thickness, ensuring that the resulting sheets are of high quality.
The thick plates that this mill produces are used to build wide LNG tankers and in aerospace applications, among others. Thin sheets are processed and shaped for a range of uses, including can stock.
Melting furnace
This line is one of the largest in Japan and is capable of producing slabs up to 2.3 m wide and 10 m long, weighing 32 tons.
5,600-ton stretcher
Generating up to 5,600 tons of tensile force, this stretcher is one of Japan's largest.
Cold-rolling mill
This cold-rolling mill is capable of producing quality ultrawide sheets meausuring 2,600 mm.
