This environmentally conscious, thick plate product utilizes recycled materials and contains no virgin aluminum ingot. It maintains conventional performance levels (improved thickness accuracy and flatness, reduced residual stress that lowers customer processing costs, etc.) while achieving lower environmental impact.

Aluminum smelting from raw materials to virgin ingot consumes a large amount of energy, whereas recycling dramatically reduces energy use. By fully leveraging this superior recycling property and using 100%* recycled materials such as aluminum scrap in place of virgin ingot, this thick aluminum plate product greatly contributes to reducing environmental impact. We also adopt environmentally friendly protective film for packaging materials.

  • Calculated using the mass balance method, with verification (limited assurance) by a third party regarding the appropriateness of operations
  • This is a standard UACJ thick plate product for which the quality level is upgraded beyond ordinary thick plates (JIS standard A5052). (Alloy and temper: 5052-H112)

Features

  1. Thickness tolerance secured at 1/3 to 1/5 of JIS standard
  2. Residual stress and flatness improved over ordinary thick plates
  3. Reduced residual stress, achieving lower distortion during cutting and machining
  4. Processing steps and distortion correction steps possible to be omitted, contributing to cost reduction
  5. Surface protection film applied
  6. Thickness range: 4 mm to 100 mm
