New Year Address by President & CEO (Summary)

Welcome to 2007. We would like to extend our sincerest wishes of health, happiness and prosperity for all of our stakeholders in the new year.

In 2007, all our major investments will be completed. By combining all our powers of manufacturing, sales, technology and research, we will surely realize the fruits of these investments and convert them into earnings. In terms of achieving the overall Mid-Term Consolidated Management Plan, this year will also be a crucial time in which we must firmly establish profitable structures at a higher level. We intend to quickly and effectively accomplish this objective and generate momentum for achieving the Mid-term Management Plan.

Therefore, the slogan for this year is: "Create solid investment returns and develop momentum for further growth."

We face these key challenges:

1.Build and improve our corporate governance system
Reconfirm the thoroughness of compliance systems, which represent the basis of everything we do, promote risk management and develop management systems that stand fast in the face of change.
2.Achieve a record of zero accidents
Follow the basics and develop a safe workplace with everyone involved.
3.Maximize customer satisfaction
Get back to the basics and promote quality improvements, and by doing so strengthen customer trust and respond to new demands.

In achieving Mid-term Management Plan objectives, each company division will obtain results from the diverse investments.

1.Sales Division
Build strong sales capability for proactively meeting customer needs.
2.Sheet Manufacturing Division
Quickly realize unrivaled competitiveness by fully leveraging capital investments.
3.Extrusion, Casting and Forging Division
Quickly turn new facilities into a genuine force and launch overseas subsidiary business as planned.
4.Processed Products Division
Expand business scale by developing high value-added products.
5.Research & Development Division
Establish infrastructure for building powerful R&D systems.
6.Support Departments
Establish business operation systems that allow for continually increasing corporate value.
