Announcement Regarding a Revision in Aluminum Processing Charges

Furukawa-Sky has decided to revise its processing charges for aluminum plates and aluminum extruded products for the retail and the general-purpose products market as follows:

1.Description of revised charges

1. Applicable products: Aluminum products for retail and the general-purpose market
2. Revised charges: average increase of 10% for processing charges (approximately 30 yen per kilogram)
3. Effective date: starting with July 2008 deliveries

2.Reasons for the revision

We have been negotiating with customers in areas other than retail and the general-purpose products market since the beginning of the year and have actually revised some prices. The costs of oil and auxiliary materials, however, continue to rise beyond our ability to offset them internally, resulting in an extremely severe business operating environment.

This price revision is intended to enlist customers for the retail and the general-purpose products market in shouldering a part of the burden, allowing us to reinforce our business structure and better serve customers over the long run through investments in stable supply and enhanced quality, as well as stronger R&D and technical capabilities.
