Oyama Office Established by FS Green-net, Special Subsidiary for Self-Support Assistance of Persons with Disabilities

Furukawa-Sky's special subsidiary FS Green-net Co., Ltd. established its Oyama Office on the premises of the Oyama Works on December 16, 2009, and held a ceremony to commemorate the start of operations on December 25. The FS Green-net Oyama Office is scheduled to begin cleaning work at the Oyama Works and then gradually expand its services.

Furukawa-Sky established FS Green-net in Fukaya, Saitama Prefecture, on the site of its Fukaya Works, on January 15, 2007, to create employment opportunities for persons with disabilities and provide assistance for their self-support efforts. On May 11 of the same year, FS Green-net obtained certification as a special subsidiary under the Law for Employment Promotion etc. of Persons with Disabilities.

FS Green-net began operations with 8 employees (including 6 workers with disabilities), primarily in the areas of cleaning and routine office work at the Fukaya Works. It has since steadily expanded its services to include polishing aluminum testing material and greenery management for public facilities in Fukaya City. At the same time, it has promoted employment of persons with disabilities, increasing the number of its employees to 23 (including 13 workers with disabilities), as of December 31, 2009.

The recently established FS Green-net Oyama Office is the first special subsidiary in Oyama, Tochigi Prefecture (including regional offices, branch offices and sales offices), and we intend to actively support persons with disabilities in gaining self-reliance in the Oyama area using the know-how accumulated through FS Green-net's operations in the Fukaya area.
