Furukawa-Sky to Participate in ALUMINIUM 2010

September 1, 2010

Furukawa-Sky will exhibit its products at ALUMINIUM 2010, one of the world's largest aluminum industry exhibitions, from September 14 to 16 in Essen, Germany. While Furukawa-Sky has been participating in ALUMINIUM CHINA in Shanghai for four consecutive years since 2007, its appearance at ALUMINIUM 2010 this year will be its first.

ALUMINIUM 2010 is held once every two years, making this the eighth event. About 650 companies from around 40 countries will participate, with one other company from Japan attending in addition to Furukawa-Sky. The event is expected to attract over 18,000 visitors from more than 90 nations. Furukawa-Sky will be the first Japanese aluminum rolling company to participate.

Furukawa-Sky will have a 96-square-meter booth, where we plan to introduce the company and showcase products such as an automotive heat exchanger and compressor wheel.

We have been aggressively expanding business in Europe by extending technical assistance to ELVAL S.A. in Greece and operating a joint sales company as well as investing capital in Bridgnorth Aluminium Ltd. in the United Kingdom. We have recently opened a European Office in Germany to develop closer relationships with the customers and regions we serve in the European market, and we have reinforced our information gathering efforts to determine the demand for aluminum products, such as automotive materials and lithographic strips. We are also gathering data on conditions and trends in automotive and other markets in Europe.

Furukawa-Sky's participation in ALUMINIUM 2010 is primarily aimed at introducing our company and products in Europe and at negotiating business deals with customers around the world that will lead to new business development.
