Exhibiting at ALUMINIUM CHINA 2012

May 24, 2012

Furukawa-Sky will exhibit at ALUMINIUM CHINA 2012, which is to be held June 6–8 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. This will be the sixth time Furukawa-Sky has participated in ALUMINIUM CHINA.

ALUMINIUM CHINA is Asia’s largest aluminum trade fair, and this will mark the eighth time it has been held. In 2007, Furukawa-Sky was the first Japanese rolled aluminum producer to exhibit, and was one of four Japanese companies among the total of 370 exhibitors to participate at last year’s event, which hosted 11,282 visitors.

Approximately 400 companies from 30 countries will be exhibiting this year, including three Japanese companies, and more than 10,000 visitors are expected.

Furukawa-Sky’s booth will cover an area of 120 sq. meters, within which we will display around 60 items, including thick sheet, auto body sheet materials, heat exchangers materials, radiator parts, and an EV. We will offer a number of displays concerning thick sheet, for which demand in China is expected to expand rapidly. These include products for which specific patterning is prevented during surface processing, products with superior bendability and machinability, spherical LNG tanks, components used in LCD and solar panel production devices, and high-speed railcar materials.

Furukawa-Sky will also introduce our global manufacturing and sales bases, including the subsidiaries we have already established in China, such as Furukawa-Sky Aluminum (Wuxi) Corp. located in Wuxi, Jiangsu, and the sheet rolling plant for which construction began in March of this year.
